AbilityNet’s Tech volunteers provide free IT support to older people and disabled people of any age. Our volunteers can support people located anywhere in the UK.They are all disclosure-checked and can help with all sorts of IT (information technology) challenges, from setting up new equipment, fixing technical issues, showing you how to stay connected to family, and use online services.

Davidson Legacy Cottage is the historical family home of the Davidson from Harley Davidson. It was the home of William C Davidson, father of the founding sons of Harley Davidson. The story of the Davidson family from Scotland who helped form the famous motorcycle company ‘Harley Davidson’.Davidson Legacy Cottage is a small cottage set in the heart of Angus Scotland, known previously as the Netherton Cottage. The name of the cottage derives from the story of the Davidson family who helped form the famous motorcycle company ‘Harley Davidson’. Harley Davidson was started by three Davidson brothers and William Harley in 1903 in Milwaukee USA.
The cottage was home to the Davidsons father, William C. Davidson, who was born and raised there until the age of 11years. He then emigrated to America with his family in 1857 where he became a man, married another Scottish emigrant and raised his own family. William didn’t know it at the time, but he helped create an American icon when he built the very first Harley-Davidson workshop for his sons. The 10’x 15′ workshop affectionately referred to as “The Shed” was the foundations for the ‘Motor Company’ to develop from.
The Davidson Legacy Cottage is a step back in time to a period of no running water, no inside toilet or fully fitted kitchen. The cottage was rescued in 2008 and restored by Mike Sinclair, Maggie Sherrit, and Keith Mackintosh who created ‘The Davidson Legacy.
The cottage has welcomed thousands of visitors from around the world to see the historic home. Visitors are welcomed with options of tea and coffee are free to view the cottage on their own or request a guided tour and sign the visitors book.

Our motorcycle mechanics program ties into racing both locally and nationally. Her Story Scotland aims to support girls and women to be the change makers in their own story. The Montrose Playhouse is a community owned 3 screen cinema and art centre with café bar, activity spaces and retail area for promoting the arts, heritage and culture by providing a location for films, art, music, drama and entertainment in the heart of Montrose. We aim to provide the whole community with access to cultural, educational and inclusive experiences. The whole ethos of The Playhouse is about social inclusion and we run multiple social programmes throughout the week for customers with barriers to participation.
Murton Trust manages a thriving nature reserve, visitor farm and tea room, on the outskirts of Forfar. Murton provides a unique environment in which children, young people and adults can learn and develop skills for life. We wish to enrich people’s lives by using our site as an educational tool that has a positive impact on all ages.
As a Scottish charitable organisation with a dual purpose, situated on a former sand and gravel quarry, Murton Trust manages and enhances the natural heritage on the 100 acre site and currently utilises the landscape to provide opportunities for young people from Angus and Dundee (aged 14-19) who are disengaged from formal education, to gain meaningful vocational qualifications or work experience in hospitality and land based skills.
Murton Trust is a Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) accredited vocational training centre, our education programmes make significant differences to the futures of challenged young people. We support those currently at school and those who have left school with no positive destination who are at risk of future social and employment exclusion, as a consequence of little or no school achievements.
We also operate Murton Tots Outdoor Playgroup throughout term time, working with pre-school children in an outdoor setting introducing them to the benefits of playing outdoors and experiencing nature at an early age.
